Angela Klukken holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Indiana University Northwest and a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Indiana University. She is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Her doctoral capstone revolved around championing the rights of school-aged children with learning disabilities in a public school setting. Her research delved into the effects of stigma on school performance, strategies for reducing stigma among general education teachers, implicit bias and occupational performance.

Angela has treated children with a wide array of diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory processing disorder, prematurity, Erb Palsy, emotion regulation difficulties, Down Syndrome, neurological conditions, and radial dysplasia. Angela possesses a passion for learning and enjoys continuing education, with notable courses in sensory-based strategies, toe walking, limb loss, feeding, and adverse childhood experiences. She has previous clinical experience in outpatient upper extremity rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, outpatient pediatrics and early intervention through Indiana First Steps.

Angela is a published author in the Open Journal of Occupational Therapy. She brings a strengths-based, client-centered approach that emphasizes connection over compliance in order to yield positive therapy outcomes for children and families. In her free time Angela enjoys hiking and exploring (especially the Indiana Dunes!), eating yummy food, exercising, and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
